Dream Fulfillment Coaching
|
|
If, through the help of small business owner Bill Manzullo, you are one
of 100,000 business owners and individuals who are empowered to realize
their dream by 2010, then you have also helped Manzullo achieve his
dream. Manzullo is the co-founder and president of Dream Fulfillment
Coaching, which goes by the slogan, “Turn any dream into reality,” and
operates with the aforementioned goal in mind. Manzullo refers to
himself as a personal trainer for success, and the services he and his
employees provide include individual, group and corporate coaching,
seminars and workshops, romantic relationship coaching and books --- all
with purpose of helping people fulfill the major commitments in their
business and personal lives. Native New Yorker Manzullo started his
Castleton Corners-based business in 2004. Years earlier he was a
successful manager of a Wall Street brokerage firm, where his special
talent was, and he was frequently recognized for, team motivation at the
early-morning sales meetings. But Manzullo dreamed of something more
and wanted to parlay that skill into a career as a professional
motivational speaker. Inspired to “follow his bliss,” he set out to
pursue his dream.

Three years later he found himself serving pancakes at a local IHOP
where the only motivational speaking he seemed to be doing was
“motivating” customers to ‘up-size’ to larger carafes of orange juice.
Quite a distance now from the rich lifestyle he once enjoyed, Manzullo
asked himself, “How did I get so far off track?” He concluded that he
had to recover his passion, which he knew also meant facing his
fears. So Manzullo returned to Wall Street but at the same time, in a
move of boldness and creativity, started delivering motivational
speeches to the most unlikely of audiences – the passengers on the New
York City subway system. He practiced on the trains for several months,
during which time he earned his first fees as a professional speaker,
met and married Diana, the woman of his dreams, and ultimately became a
national speaker for the Anthony Robbins Companies. Shortly afterward,
the Manzullo’s took the same advice Bill had been teaching on behalf of
Robbins, and they opened their own coaching business.

Dream Fulfillment Coaching was born in January 2004 and the couple never
looked back. As they grew their business, the Manzullo’s looked for
some help in entrepreneurial management and strategic planning. They
found it at an organization called SCORE, Counselors to America’s Small
Business, which they visited several times for guidance. SCORE is a
resource arm of the U.S. Small Business Administration that provides
free business counseling from successful retired and active business
owners and executives. “The counselors asked me lots of questions which
caused me to look at my business from several different angles and I’ve
reaped many unexpected rewards,” said Manzullo.

With their talent, hard work and assistance from SCORE, the Manzullo’s
have grown the company to where it has three employees and sales that
are three times what they were in the first year of operation. “I pride
myself on being resourceful and I want other people starting businesses
or in need of a little guidance to know that SCORE is one resource I
refuse to do without,” said Manzullo. Manzullo also knows how to return
a favor, because he now teaches entrepreneurship to high school kids
throughout Staten Island on behalf of SCORE. Also on behalf of the
community he started the Staten Island Hero’s Program wherein he invites
nine to 18 year olds to participate in an essay-writing contest about
their personal hero. Now in its fourth year the program has grown from
high school gym venues to an audience of 1,500 at the St. George
Theater. Manzullo often says, “Our dreams do not have to end when we
wake up; it’s when we wake up that our dreams can begin.” Judging by
the success of his business, he most definitely is one who practices
what he preaches.
