Patricia (Pat) Sturman grew up in London, England.  After working in London for several years, she lived and worked in Bermuda, Canada, France and for the United Nations Development Program in New York City.  She came to live in New York permanently in 1976 and worked for the Federal Reserve Bank Employee Benefits System.  She then became a full-time student at Pace University.  

She received a BBA, summa cum laude, and an MBA with distinction in 1983.  After working for the audit division for one of the Big 8 accounting firms and obtaining her C.P.A. license, she joined a major women's sportswear and dancewear manufacturer as the assistant corporate controller.  Pat joined SCORE in 2001.
